THE DAY

What the day covers

Drilling is the skill most people get wrong, and the one that unlocks everything else. You’ll spend real time getting it right, alongside the practical foundations every home needs.

Little things like the cupboard door sticking shouldn't be something that piles on top of the other things.

WHO YOU'LL LEARN FROM

Learn from the people that do this for real

Becky Russell, Founder and Tutor at DIY Her Way, Surrey

Becky Russell

Becky picked up her first power tool a few years ago in her late 30’s. Since then she’s built a 190,000-strong following by sharing her DIY journey honestly — the mistakes, the wins and everything in between. She teaches the way she learned: by doing. And DIY Her Way is where that passion moves off the screen and into the room with you.

Emma Daley - DIY Tutor at DIY Her Way, Surrey

Emma Daley

Emma was the kind of person who rebuilt a hi-fi unit as a teenager and asked for a drill for her 21st birthday. Carpentry is her speciality and wood is her material of choice. Over the years she’s tackled countless DIY and carpentry projects with the confidence to just get stuck in. We think you’ll understand why we chose her when you meet her.

FAQS

Common questions

I'm not sure if I'm a beginner or somewhere in between — which course is right for me?

If you’ve never taken a formal DIY course and you’re not confident using power tools, start here.
If you’ve done some basic DIY at home and want to build on that properly, the Confidence Course is likely the better fit. Still not sure? Get in touch and we’ll point you in the right direction.

How much does it cost?

£175 per person. That covers your place on the day, all materials, the use of every tool you need, and tuition from a qualified trainer.

What should I wear and bring?

Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dusty. Sturdy, closed-toe shoes are essential — no heels, no sandals. Just bring yourself, a packed lunch and something to take notes with. We’ll take care of everything else.

Are tools provided?

Yes. All tools and materials are provided on the day. You don’t need to buy, borrow or bring anything. If you decide you want your own kit after the course — we can point you in the right direction.
